In new custom construction, we have had builders come to us for a convenient way to access chandeliers installed on high ceilings. The Aladdin Light Lift was found to be a reliable and simple answer. If you're early enough in construction, selection and installation are a breeze. You only need to choose a maximum weight of your light fixtures, and the application that requires it. If the light lift can be installed directly above the fixture, then the standard type is fine. If it has to be located away from the fixture, then there is a remote version of the light lift that should work for you. It really is a convenient way to clean, re-lamp, or work on your fixture when dealing with an elevated ceiling. The ALL200 and the ALL300 versions are the most popular. The maximum weight capacity is in the item number itself. So the Aladdin Light Lift 200 would handle up to a 200 lb. fixture.
